daisies and birthday celebrations

The last two nights were pretty amazing. My friend Aaron and my 21sts were both really great and I had a wonderful time at both events. My own birthday festivities left me feeling well loved and content, though that could just be a side effect of the gelati tower I helped demolish. Photos of the night coming soon!

For now, I am spending the late afternoon hours of my Sunday cooking a japanese dinner, baking a big batch of brownies for tomorrow's Bake Sale and illustrating for an upcoming exhibition. Right now I am really inspired by these wonderful antique children's books full of energetic pastel coloured pictures and beautiful french captions. The title of this book is 'Filles et Garçons - Scènes de la Ville et des Champs' & the original story dates back to 1887! They just don't make books like they used to.
