Live Art on a sunny sunday

I was asked to be a part of the festivities at Studio Lingo's closing event, "The Break-Up" this Sunday the 4th. I created three minute watercolour portraits of friends, and mostly strangers which I will publish in a zine early next year. I did not ask age and occupation, only 'favourite dessert' and 'most prized possession'. In the brief four hours that I was there I did not put my brush down, and made lots of portraits of new friends. It was a great day.

live art - at "the break up"

So this is just a quick reminder for local readers who might like to come down to Studio Lingo today, who are hosting this special event. These guys have been absolutely amazing and completely dedicated to their cause. Hands down the best stockists I have dealt with over the last three years. I am so sad to see them go, but as they said, it is the nature of 'Renew Adelaide' projects. I will be doing live art from 2-4 pm in the form of 3 minute watercolour portraits which I will paint of random sitters throughout this time. They will not get to keep the portraits, as I will collate them all into a zine over the Christmas period. Excitement!

studio lingo & littlest vintage

Gosh, time is certainly flying isn't it? The weeks on the uni-calender are fluttering by and it is week three of the final semester of my uni degree. Very exciting stuff! Last week a new art/ vintage shop opened here in our great little city of Adelaide as an effort by the Renew Adelaide project. Studio Lingo paired with littlestVINTAGE in an abandoned shop in Prospect and created a wonderful little space full of paintings, cowboy boots and vintage crockery.

It was my second visit over the weekend, and meeting the lovely lady behind the counter was funny, as she was wearing one of my badges, "Miss Beardsley". She was excited to meet me and we had a great chat and she was very obliging and let me take a photo of her for my blog. So there she is along with my little goodies.
