make a wish

[source for above balloon shot is carninscatola ]
..

Every time I think up a new little project, roadtrip, patisserie, monument, piece of land to visit during my impending eurotrip I get a feeling that's a little bit like a flutter in the vicinity of my heart.

The countries I am guaranteed to visit are Germany, Hungary, Holland, Spain and France and the "I wish" list includes ~
Denmark, UK, Portugal, Luxemburg, Scandinavia, Faroe Island, The Baltic countries (Namely Lithuania), Slovakia, Poland, Austria and Italy. Theres probably more, like more of Eastern Europe and maybe more north stuff aswell. How to choose? Limited funds make this trip a little more interesting as I am literally going to travel europe on a shoestring. but it will be amazing. I am taking my trusty polaroid Duke with me, with whom the furthest I've traveled so far was Sydney, and Glenelg :) So he is clearly hungry for more adventures, as am I. Here are a few gems we have collaborated on:

My man and I at the Sydney Opera House. (one of the best days I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying)

Also, I am really loving The Whitest Boy Alive, especially 'Burning'. See if this works if you want a taste:

splitting images

i'm really hangering to go back to Europe, but before I do I already have plans to go to Sydney with my beloved boyfriend (who is visiting from Germany!) and one of my besties Anna, with whom I'm going to Melbourne with to 'get a visa' for her study in Canada, but really we are going to look at some amazing galleries, artist run spaces, public artworks, vintage shops and arty streets and people! I am currently looking/collecting advice for both locations for places to go (and avoid), and the lists are agrowing.

oh i just discovered LOOKBOOK. its brilliant. I am so inspired.

an op and shop

This is the most updated prototype of the pendant series I'm doing with polarity, an amazing american artist I found through etsy. i can't wait to have this in my hot little hand!

oh, and it turns out my idea isn't so original. I found a competition by the Moleskine company, who are looking at illustrators to work on their covers. there were some pretty amazing entries. I shall prevail anyhow.

I'm also collecting some good advice from friends and friends of friends on what to see in Sydney. My beloved boyfriend is coming to join me for about a month, which is VERY Exciting as he lives far far away, and as a birthday present from my parents we get to go to sydney for about 4 days. which should be pretty awesome! So far I have a few great places to go such as the Chinese Laundry, MCA, the Art Gallery of NSW, Newtown (as a suburb) and a bunch of others. I'm wondering if there are any other cool places I've missed that are off the beaten track. And we've been to Paddington markets already.. so yeah. anyone have anything for me there?
